A Certified Clinical Herbalist and Registered Nurse, Kyce holds an interdisciplinary degree in Southwest Studies and Creative Writing from the University of New Mexico. She received an MFA in poetry from the Institute of American Indian Arts, which she attended as a non-Native student of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent. Kyce's poetry explores the contours between landscape and language. Her debut poetry collection, Refugia (University of Nevada Press, 2019), was winner of Interim’s Test Site Poetry Series. It received a New Mexico/Arizona Book Award in 2020. Kyce lives with her husband and two daughters in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
