My work circles generational trauma, especially from mother to daughter. I’m particularly interested in how our experiences seemed to be cyclical and coursing through our veins. This often manifests in exploring alcoholism and how our bodies are bruised by the ancestral.
Sage is a Bay Area writer fascinated by the way cities grit and how women move through the world. Her work has been published or is forthcoming in Tinderbox, Vinyl Poetry and Prose, Glass Poetry, The Normal School, Juked and more. She was a finalist for the Rita Dove Award in Poetry and the Gigantic Sequins Poetry Award, as well as an Honorable Mention for the Wrolstad Contemporary Poetry Series.
