My Approach to Journalism

I am a creative, hardworking and entrepreneurial journalist with a background in social justice activism and art. My experiences have helped me possess a deep understanding of how race, identity and ethnicity shape our lives. Intersectional activism that has directly informed and inspired my journalism. My activism experience is rooted in working equitable education, equal health care access and environmental/climate injustice. My creative and entrepreneurial spirit remains curious and inspired to find the ways in which I can leverage my words to amplify underrepresented voices and encourage active citizenship. Journalism continues inspire me in being gaining wisdom beyond my own lived experience.
