I’ve been in tech a long time, and worn, as is the modernish parlance, many, many hats. I’ve worked in many industries, including finance, staffing, legal, federal government, consulting, and other services.
In 1996 I left Grad School at George Washington University in Physical Chemistry for a career in technology. I started as a Network Engineer, then became a consultant, then went into web development, then went into technical leadership, then went into product management and security, then returned to consulting, then became a systems engineer and release engineer. There, I stayed on for 8 years, then went into consulting and web development again. Then I took a year off to study data analytics/data science. Now I’m looking for my next role, and trying really hard to find a role that I really enjoy.
