The first 4 of the 5 book COTD series have been republished, & a final, fifth book added, under the auspices of ReAnimus Press. Book 5 is due for a re-release in early 2021, with added content and clarity. There are also three supplementary, self-published side stories.
Salt City/The Scribbling Lion
This supplemental novella to the Children of the Desert series follows a young priest as he discovers that the organization he's spent years training to be worthy of ... might not, in fact, be worthy of him.
Fallen City/The Scribbling Lion
In this short novella, Deiq, who may or may not be a demigod but who is definitely ancient, retells a story from book two of the Children of the Desert series -- from his perspective. Because of course he was there. And he might just have created the inciting incident...
A Small Price To Pay/The Scribbling Lion
This short story, available only in ebook form at this time, offers a rare glimpse into the dangerous, cruel culture of the teyanain, a xenophobic, isolationist population whose machinations and internal conflicts drive much of the COTD series.
Silver and Iron/Copperdog Press
This anthology is focused on the demonic point of view during their latest attempt to take over the world. My story, "Silver & Iron", involves art, fae, and unexpected love.
Scorpion's Choice/Copperdog Press
Another demonic invasion anthology; this one revolves around demonic/magical tattoos. My story, "Scorpion's Choice", involves a special -- and specialist -- tattoo artist brought to New York City to save the world.
Dragon Child/Sparkito Press (Defunct)
This anthology, GALACTIC CREATURES, was literally themed around the cover art: a spaceship crafted to look like a dragon. My story, "Dragon Child", is best described as (cue dramatic voice) ELVES... IN... SPAAAAACE... !! It was lovely fun.
Leftovers/Paper Golem Press
I was asked to contribute a story about cats to the anthology CATS IN SPACE. Since I'm not really a cat lover, the result was ... less than fluffy.
